I think Diablofan is part of that, but we are much bigger (page-wise), but we are smaller (user-wise). I would do it, but I don't really have the time to do that. Applying for the Blizzard Offical Fan Site would work too. SMF, by default, offers three tools to help you keeping spammers out of your forum: Account Activation - Administrators can decide to either ask their new members to visit an activation link sent to a newly registered member by email or to put all the newly registered members in the approval queue, and then personally activate only the non-spammer accounts. If you want to do it, feel free but I think getting our name out in a more elegant way might work better. I know that I usually just ignore messages like that and don't even read them. Personally I hate spambots, and I don't really know if anyone even looks at them. What do you think about it (is this message good in your opinion)? I could run it other realms, but I N list of popular channels. Each channel is spamed one time/10-15 minutes, so IMHO it's nothing improper. I'm starting running it at Europe realm now (polish, german, great britain, itally and france channels), with message "- the wiki about the Diablo series that anyone can edit!". ![]() I have "spam bot" program, I think you know what it does - goes to diablo II ingame chats and sends message every X minutes.
